How To Exclude Transfers From Reports In MoneyCoach

You can hide transfers in MoneyCoach reports by opening the report filter and turning off the Include Transfers switch, which lets you review your results without counting money moved between your own accounts.

Step-by-step guide

  • Open Reports
  • Open the report you want to review
  • Tap the Filter button
  • Turn off the Include Transfers switch
  • Return to the report and review the updated results

Now the report will show your filtered results without transfers included.

When to exclude transfers from reports

If you use the MoneyCoach Financial Reports section to understand your spending habits, excluding transfers can make the numbers easier to read and easier to trust.

This is especially useful when you want to:

  • See your real spending without counting internal account moves
  • Avoid double-counting money you transferred from checking to savings
  • Review category totals without transfers distorting the picture
  • Check savings activity separately from everyday expenses

For example, if you move money from your main account to a savings account every month, that transfer is not really a new expense. Turning off Include Transfers helps you focus on what you actually spent or earned during the selected period.

If you later want to share or analyze the same filtered data outside the app, see How To Export Transactions As CSV In MoneyCoach.

Additional information

The Include Transfers switch only affects the report you are currently viewing. It does not change the Overview cards, account balances, or other app-wide calculations.

Transfers can only be filtered inside reports. This is also different from excluding a transaction globally, which is a separate feature used for a different purpose.
