1. Introduction
1.1 Service Overview
MoneyCoach (including MoneySpaces for shared budgeting) provides personal finance management applications across Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Apple Vision Pro) to help users track expenses, manage budgets, and achieve financial goals.
1.2 Agreement
By using MoneyCoach, you accept these Terms of Service. If you disagree, please don't use our services.
2. Eligibility
2.1 Age Requirement
You must be at least 16 years old. Users under 18 need parental consent.
2.2 Availability
MoneyCoach is available globally via Apple's App Store. Open Banking features are limited to EU users under PSD2 regulations.
3. Services
3.1 Subscription-Based Access
MoneyCoach is a paid subscription service. Access after any applicable free trial requires an active subscription purchased through Apple's App Store. The features included in your subscription may include transaction tracking and categorization, budgets, financial goals, multi-currency accounts, reports, synchronization, exports, and customization. Available features may vary by platform, subscription plan, region, and app version.
3.2 Free Trial
MoneyCoach offers new or otherwise eligible subscribers a free trial before the paid subscription begins. The trial duration, subscription price, billing period, and included features are shown in the App Store purchase screen before you confirm the subscription. Trial eligibility is determined by Apple.
3.3 Third-Party Integrations
- Open Banking (EU users)
- iCloud synchronization
- Google Gemini categorization for transactions imported through optional Online Banking
- Optional AI Connections and MCP clients chosen and configured by you
4. Account Management
4.1 Registration
MoneyCoach may be used with an App Store subscription without creating a separate MoneyCoach account. Some optional services may require registration or another service account, including:
- Cross-device sync
- Family sharing
- Online Banking and other connected services
4.2 User Responsibilities
You must:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Keep credentials secure and confidential
- Use the service in compliance with all applicable laws
- Not share accounts except through supported Family Sharing or MoneySpaces features
- Immediately notify us of unauthorized use
- Accept responsibility for all account activity
- Accept responsibility for third-party AI or MCP clients you choose to connect to MoneyCoach
5. Payment Terms
5.1 Pricing
- Subscription required: Continued access after any applicable free trial requires a paid subscription
- Plans and prices: The available billing periods, prices, currencies, and included trial are displayed in the App Store purchase screen
- Processing: Subscription purchases, billing, cancellation, and refunds are processed by Apple through the App Store
5.2 Subscriptions
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
- Apple charges your App Store account when you confirm the purchase and within 24 hours before each renewal
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple account's subscription settings
- Cancelling a paid subscription stops future renewals; access normally continues until the end of the current paid billing period
- Any price change is presented and handled by Apple in accordance with App Store rules and applicable law
5.3 Trial Periods
Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the free trial automatically converts to the subscription and billing period shown when you started the trial. Apple then charges your App Store account. Cancelling a trial may end access immediately or at the time indicated by Apple when you cancel. Deleting MoneyCoach does not cancel a trial or subscription.

- Personal finance management only
- No business accounting
- No illegal activities
- No reverse engineering, copying, or modifying our software
- No unauthorized use of MoneyCoach trademarks
8.2 Your Content
- You retain ownership of financial data
- You grant us limited, non-exclusive license to process data for service provision
- You're responsible for accuracy and legality
- You must have rights to all content you provide
8.3 AI and MCP Features
MoneyCoach may provide an optional local MCP server that allows you to connect MoneyCoach data with a compatible MCP client selected and configured by you. MCP is disabled by default and requires your confirmation before access is enabled.
These features are provided for informational and organizational purposes only. They do not provide financial, investment, tax, legal, accounting, or professional advice.
AI-generated responses may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or unsuitable for your personal circumstances. You are solely responsible for verifying any AI-generated output before relying on it.
When enabled, the client may request read-only accounts, balances, transactions, categories, budgets, goals, subscriptions, bills, and related financial data. Payee or merchant names and transaction descriptions may also be available when you enable the corresponding sharing controls.
The client you configure receives the requested MoneyCoach data. Depending on its configuration, it may transmit that data outside your Mac to an external AI provider. MoneyCoach does not select or control your MCP client, its AI provider, or their actions, outputs, availability, data handling, retention, training, or security practices.
Your use of a third-party client or AI provider is also governed by its terms and privacy policy. You are responsible for reviewing those terms and ensuring that the service is appropriate for the sensitivity of your financial data before connecting it.
When enabled, the local MoneyCoach MCP helper is designed to provide read-only access to supported MoneyCoach data. MCP does not create transactions, edit or delete MoneyCoach data, trigger sync, perform payments or bank transfers, or expose a MoneyCoach-hosted remote MCP server.
MoneyCoach separately uses the Google Gemini API to suggest categories for transactions imported through the optional Online Banking feature. This MoneyCoach-selected service is not part of the user-configured MCP feature. You can avoid this processing by not enabling Online Banking or stop future processing by disconnecting your Online Banking accounts. See the Privacy Policy for the specific transaction fields involved.
8.4 License
MoneyCoach intellectual property (software, design, trademarks) belongs to MoneyCoach UG. You receive a limited, personal license for personal use only.
9. Service Availability
9.1 No Guarantee
We strive for 99% availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service due to:
- Maintenance
- Technical issues
- Third-party disruptions
9.2 Modifications
We may modify features, requirements, or discontinue services with reasonable notice.
10. Disclaimers and Liability
10.1 No Financial, Tax, Legal, or Accounting Advice
Important Notice: MoneyCoach is an information and analysis tool only. We explicitly do not provide:
- Financial, investment, tax, legal, or accounting advice
- Recommendations for specific financial products or decisions
- Professional financial planning or consulting services
- Guarantees about financial outcomes or savings
All analysis, insights, budgets, AI-generated categorizations, and responses from third-party AI or MCP clients are for informational purposes only. MoneyCoach provides data access and personal analysis tooling, not an AI financial advisor. Financial decisions based on MoneyCoach data or AI-generated outputs are made at your own risk. Always consult qualified professionals for personalized financial, investment, tax, legal, or accounting advice.
10.2 Automated Analysis Disclaimer
MoneyCoach provides automated analysis including:
- Spending patterns and trends
- Budget recommendations
- Financial health indicators
- AI-enhanced transaction categorization
- Responses or summaries produced by third-party AI or MCP clients you connect
These are algorithmic outputs, not personalized advice. Accuracy depends on data quality and completeness. Users are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated responses before relying on them. We assume no responsibility for decisions based on these analyses.
10.3 Third-Party AI and MCP Clients
MoneyCoach does not control third-party AI or MCP clients, their prompts, outputs, logs, retention, training policies, account settings, security practices, or onward sharing. Once you connect a third-party client and it receives MoneyCoach data through MCP, that client's own terms and privacy rules apply.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, MoneyCoach is not responsible for third-party AI or MCP client processing, retention, output accuracy, account configuration, unauthorized access, misuse, or onward sharing after you choose to connect that client. Do not connect a client you do not trust with your financial data.
AI-generated outputs are not financial, investment, tax, legal, accounting, or professional advice. Users are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated responses before relying on them.
10.4 Limitation of Liability
Under German law:
- Full liability: Intent, gross negligence, personal injury, essential contractual obligations
- Limited liability: €50 or fees paid in last 12 months for simple negligence
- No liability: Indirect damages, lost profits, third-party failures, financial losses from using our analysis
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MoneyCoach is not liable for financial decisions, losses, damages, missed payments, tax consequences, investment outcomes, budgeting decisions, or other actions taken based on AI-generated outputs or third-party AI client behavior.
10.5 Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MoneyCoach UG, its officers, directors, and employees from any third-party claims arising from your use of our services, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any rights.
11. Termination
You may stop using MoneyCoach at any time. To prevent future charges, you must cancel your subscription through your Apple account; deleting the app does not cancel it. When you cancel a paid subscription, subscription access normally remains available until the end of the current billing period. We may suspend or terminate access where permitted by law if you materially violate these Terms.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms with 30 days notice. Continued use means acceptance.
13. Apple App Store
These Terms are between you and MoneyCoach UG only. Apple has no liability or support obligations. You must comply with App Store rules.
