Remove an online banking connection

Stop syncing and remove a linked bank connection from MoneyCoach.

Version and availability: Instructions checked against released app source code for MoneyCoach 12.1.

Checked against the released app’s source code on 2026-10-15; these steps have not been tested in the app.

Steps

A connection can contain several bank accounts. Deleting the connection removes its online banking link and connected accounts from MoneyCoach.

  1. Open Accounts and tap the options menu in the top-right corner.
  2. Choose Manage Connections.
  3. Open the menu for the bank connection to remove.
  4. Choose Delete Connection, then confirm by tapping Delete Connection in the dialog.

Refresh the connection list

Pull down in Manage Connections to refresh the connection list and its status. This is separate from Refresh transactions in a connection’s menu. Tap Done to close Manage Connections.

Choose the right action

Removing one account from the Accounts list does not remove the bank connection. Use Refresh transactions if the goal is to download transactions again; deleted transactions may reappear, and new or re-imported transactions may use bank or default categories. Use Renew Connection when the connection is marked Expired.
