Connect a bank account

Link a supported bank through the bank's secure authentication flow.

Version and availability: Instructions checked against released app source code for MoneyCoach 12.1, for the European GoCardless flow. Other connection flows have not been verified.

Checked against the released app’s source code on 2026-10-15; these steps have not been tested in the app.

Steps

These steps describe the European GoCardless connection flow. Online Banking requires an active MoneyCoach Premium plan and availability depends on country and bank.

  1. Open Accounts and tap +.
  2. Choose Link Bank Account, review the privacy information, and tap Continue.
  3. Sign in to MoneyCoach if prompted, then choose the country or region.
  4. Find the bank by name, BIC, or BLZ. If it is missing, use Request a new bank.
  5. Review the bank information and tap Connect.
  6. Complete the bank's authentication flow and keep MoneyCoach open while it processes the connection.
  7. On the Connected screen, review the accounts and tap Finish.
  8. When Connection successful! appears, tap Complete Setup.

If the country or bank is unavailable

Check the Online Banking page for availability. If the country is not supported, the guide links to the country leaderboard. If the bank is missing, the app offers Request a new bank.
