Start here with MoneyCoach
Edition 1 is your first lesson bundle. You will learn how to set up your accounts, align MoneyCoach with your payday, bring in existing data, organise your account list, and keep your categories tidy from day one.

Edition 1
Your first setup lessons
MoneyCoach can grow with you, but the best start is a clean setup. The guides below cover the most useful first steps for new users, including accounts, payday, existing data, and the structure you need before daily tracking.
Creating an Account
Open the Accounts tab, tap the plus button, and choose whether you want to create a manual account or start the online banking flow.
Set Your Payday
Make MoneyCoach follow your real financial month so Overview cards and period-based reports line up with when you actually get paid.
Import CSV Files
Already tracking your finances somewhere else? Import a CSV from your bank or previous app and map the columns into MoneyCoach.
Group Your Accounts
Keep your account list organised by creating groups for cash, cards, banks, savings, or any structure that matches how you think about your money.
Select a Default Account
Choose the account MoneyCoach should preselect when you add transactions, so daily entry starts from the place you use most.
Show or Hide Accounts
Keep your Overview focused by choosing which accounts appear in your visible balances without deleting the accounts themselves.
Manage Your Data
Learn where to edit, favorite, archive, delete, and reorganise your accounts, categories, and subcategories so your setup stays clean.
Merge Categories & Subcategories
If your imported data or early setup created duplicates, merge categories and subcategories instead of cleaning them up one by one.
